What You Wish For (1/???)

I'm still not entirely sure why I still feel compelled to write Pokémon fanfic as a twenty-one-year-old. I think maybe it has something to do with the fact that there's just something compelling to me about a travelogue slash bildungsroman kind of story where there's a possibility for the characters to ~*save the world*~, and the fandom lends itself well to that.
Or maybe it's because I'm totally still an eleven-year-old girl inside.

Contains: rather dodgy science
Summary: A pair of teenage trainers get more than they bargained for when they rescue a strange girl during a thunderstorm on Route 45 and are sucked into an adventure that leads them all the way to faraway Sinnoh.
Notes: I find it really hard to describe this story—maybe something that gets close would be Baccano! crossed with To Say Nothing of the Dog set in the Pokémon 'verse, with a bit of Borges thrown in for flavor.
Oh, and all the characters are named after colors, which is why all their names are super weird.
