what i've been up to / what i should do next

Let's see, it's been a while...

I've been unemployed since the start of the year and it's kind of done a number on me just like. Generally. We've been scraping by due to very generous help from parents and my freelance income, but it has not been fun, even if it means I can play video games in the afternoon. The job market is awful right now, so I'm trying to escape the tech-and-startups sphere by going into IT (which is kind of still tech but wildly different inflection)

I might finally have something (potentially multiple somethings?) but I'm so tired. Helpo

I'm trying to learn how to manage my energy so I don't burn out at work again. My therapist observed that even when I was my happiest at my past jobs, I always came to therapy exhausted after work. I don't know what that means exactly for what jobs I should be looking for in the future. If I had like, 30 hours of freelance a week at my best rate I'd be doing pretty good and I think I'd be happy, but... I don't know that I'll ever manage that?

Anyway other than that I have not been un-productive; I'm getting certifications, I've been doing a little writing here and there and am working on starting to actively update my webnovel, I got really into Neocities (80+ followers???), I wrote 17k words of a tabletop rpg supplement that I'll be publishing soon, I learned how to make a bitsy game and wrote a zine that was really well-received (and is possibly eventually going to be in indiepocalypse??)

...I guess if I look at all of that, that's a lot of nice things. I want to get a few chapters in to my webnovel so I can post chapters consistently, I want to finish my ongoing Arknights fic; I should post a bunch of my cohost promptfic to my fic comm for archival purposes. I also want to update this journal theme or change it so the comment section looks less like ass. i should re-setup my radio station. that's all good stuff to look forward to.

You're doing so many cool things! Also I feel you on the exhaustion bit. Sometimes it is so hard.
